On Saturday May 2nd, VCLF Director of Development Jake Ide and VCLF Board Treasurer Karin Chamberlain participated in "Your Investments Matter: A Seminar on Personal Divestment" in Burlington, VT.

Presented by divestor.org and 350 Vermont and sponsored by Skinny Pancake and Main Street Landing, attendees were treated to a lively and informative discussion about the challenges and opportunities around doing more (and doing RIGHT!) with our money. Other speakers included Harris Roen of the Roen Report and Tom Francis from Fossil Free Indexes; the discussion was moderated by Dan Quinlan from divestor.org.

Thanks to Bob the Green Guy, you can watch the seminar here:

Sharing her thoughts and research around reinvesting and green bonds, Karin begins around 35:00. Jake talked about opportunities for reinvesting in Vermont; he begins around 1:04:00.

You can also currently watch Your Investments Matter on Vermont Community Access Media (Channel 15). Beginning in late May, it will be replayed a number of times, for at least the coming month:

Wednesdays @ 4:30 pm
Saturdays @ 8:00 am
