Lending a Helping Hand, Creating an Opportunity

Opportunity lies at the heart of the Vermont Community Loan Fund. When Vermonters have an idea, they know the Loan Fund has the capital to help it emerge, evolve and become.

For three decades, the Vermont Community Loan Fund has provided flexible financing that creates sustainable communities and thriving families...a better Vermont.

The Vermont Community Loan Fund provides financing for businesses, developers of affordable housing, community organizations & facilities, and quality early care & education programs. We also have loan programs dedicated to agritourism and foods, farms & forests. Every loan is tailored to fit the unique needs of our borrowers, and loan rates and terms are determined on a case-by-case basis to best meet the needs of the project.

Technical Assistance & Business Development Services

Need more than just a loan? We provide comprehensive business development and financial management consulting and technical assistance to make sure you know everything you need for your business to succeed. Project SUCCESS provides training and consulting to meet the business development needs of Vermont’s early care & education entrepreneurs, at no cost to them.

Grant Programs

VCLF partners with the State of Vermont to administer the Building Bright Spaces for Bright Futures Fund to provide facility purchase and renovation grants to Vermont child care programs. We also partner with Green Mountain Power to administer their Cow Power renewable energy development grant fund.
